VOLUNTEER APPRECIATON
On November 20, Knit for Life honored their volunteers with a Volunteer Appreciation evening held at Tricoter Yarn Shop in Madison Park. Without their dedication and commitment KFL would not be able to run the 10 programs at 10 hospitals in the Puget Sound area, reaching more than 200 people every week.
Thanks to a generous donation from our angel donor, KFL was able to shower each and every one of our volunteers with a goodie bag loaded with knitting supplies from Serial Knitters.
SHAKEN BABY SYNDROME
During the month of November Knit for Life participated in the "Shaken Baby Syndrome" awareness program at Swedish Medical Center in Issaquah. All newborns at Swedish Medical Center went home in a purple hat as a reminder of this very sad syndrome. All these hats were knitted by the various volunteers, patients and caregivers who attend our KFL classes at Swedish. Over 100 purple hats were knitted!

PREEMIE HATS
For the past year patients, caregivers and KFL volunteers have been knitting preemie caps for the NICU at Swedish Medical Center in Issaquah. We have supplied over 100+ of these darling little caps that all the newborns get to go home in.
